Job summary

UIS Technologies Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Planning Manager/Production Management Control Manager to lead and manage overall planning, scheduling and production control functions. The role requires steering production plans from forecasts to capacity, material availability and delivery performance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in planning within manufacturing, with experience in precision engineering or CNC machining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, production control or scheduling.
• Experience in precision engineering / CNC machining / high-mix manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a planning team.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, material planning and lean manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems; Monitor ERP is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to identify planning risks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication, leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall production planning, scheduling and production control.
• Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, customer demand, production capacity and resource availability.
• Monitor production schedules and address capacity constraints, material shortages, bottlenecks and delivery risks.
• Manage and monitor planning KPIs including plan adherence, capacity utilisation and delivery performance.
• Oversee capacity planning and production control to maintain plan stability and optimise resources.
• Lead the team in raw material planning to ensure material availability.
• Work closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, Finance and other departments to align demand, capacity, materials and cost objectives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and S&OP from a planning perspective.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance planning accuracy, scheduling efficiency, inventory control.
• Lead, coach and develop the planning team to achieve objectives.
