Job summary

SUPER MICRO COMPUTER MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Production Planning Engineer to develop operating plan summaries, including demand, inventory and production data, and to prepare master schedules that meet shipping dates.

You will plan and schedule production for industrial or commercial products, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and optimize capacity and workflow in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in manufacturing planning, materials management and ERP systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or materials management, including at least 1 year in materials management or production planning.
• Experience with operations, inventory management, MRP systems, and lean manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle production deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops operating plan summaries for assigned product families with demand, inventory and production data.
• Provides daily bucketed schedules by SKU to manufacturing and installs production compliance metrics to measure performance.
• Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products.
• Prepares master schedule to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
• Plans and schedules workflow for each line and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Coordinates manufacturing activities and monitors schedule performance against plans with cross-functional teams.
• Monitors production schedules, identify delays, expedite operations, and recommend schedule adjustments to address unforeseen conditions.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication to support expedited requests, provide shipping information, and respond to routine order status inquiries.
