Job summary

SIS Speedy Industrial Supplies in Johor, Pontian is seeking a Production Planner to develop, monitor, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. You will coordinate activities across procurement, production, quality, and logistics to meet delivery commitments.

The role requires 2–5 years in production planning or operations, a diploma or degree in a related field, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or operations coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Coordinate production activities to ensure timely completion of customer delivery commitments.
• Liaise with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available when needed.
• Monitor production progress and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
• Communicate schedule changes and production updates to relevant departments.
• Track inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Prepare production reports, including output, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
• Coordinate with the quality team to ensure products meet required standards.
• Support warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely shipment of finished goods.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and records.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient operations, minimize delays and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production meetings and follow up on action items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
• Knowledge on SAP/ERP/MRP system is an advantage.
• Experienced in wire harness manufacturing is an advantages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
