Job summary

MKS Atotech Malaysia is seeking a Production Operator to help maintain a safe, efficient production environment. You will work under supervision with a focus on material handling, safety compliance, and exacting adherence to procedures.

You will contribute to meeting departmental outputs by managing raw materials, supporting equipment maintenance, and reporting issues promptly. The role requires willingness to work shifts and weekends as needed, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and quality

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification is required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions precisely.
• Willingness to learn computer interface equipment and production processes.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings is advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, standby on-call, and overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Check and ensure correct type and weight of raw materials used.
• Enforce safety practices in accordance with work instructions and procedures.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or equipment defects promptly.
• Coordinate with forklift driver for material movement to meet process needs.
• Assist in charging raw materials, equipment cleaning, and maintenance when required.
• Evaluate actions to prevent non-conformances in product or process.
• Report breakdowns, accidents, injuries, or non-conforming products to supervisor.
• Collect, label, and submit samples to Quality Control Lab per instructions.
• Maintain punctuality, good housekeeping, and tool care.
• Train or assist new recruits for routine tasks and greater responsibility.
• Support productivity by minimizing spillage, rework, and delays.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

A Day in Your Life at ATOTECH:

As a Production Operator at MKS Atotech Malaysia, you be responsible to maintain a safe working environment with awareness and knowledge of site EHS standards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations. Work in safe manner. In this role, you will report to the Production superior / engineer and work closely with them to achieve departmental output and target.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• To check and ensure the right type and correctly weighted of raw materials are used for manufacturing.
• To ensure the safety practices are complied with an accordance with work instruction and procedures on manufacturing machines.
• Is responsible for his own safety behavior and is expected to report occurrence or equipment defects that could present a hazard.
• To inform the forklift driver to take in raw materials and packing material to meet the process needs.
• To assist in charging raw materials, cleaning of equipment and any maintenance work.
• To evaluate and decide on action to prevent product or process non-conformances.
• To report all breakdown, accident, mishap, injury and any non-conforming product to the superior.
• To collect, label and submit sample to Quality Control Lab in accordance with the work instruction.
• To set a good example in punctuality and good housekeeping
• To train / assist the new recruit to do their work or for greater responsibility.
• To maintain and take good care of tools, requirement, machines, and company property.
• To strive for higher productivity by minimize spillage, rework, undue delay and produce of non-conforming finished goods.
• Any other duties as assigned by the superior.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Safety remains the number 1 priority by making it an integral part in all activities.
• Employees must review their work areas to identify hazards and assess risks and opportunities.
• Any hazards or injuries must be reported to your immediate superior.
• The employee must comply with the HSEQS policy and other related regulations.
• Participate in HSE promotional activities such as risk assessment and suggestions scheme and near miss reporting.

Skills You Bring:

• Passed SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Keen to learn computer interface equipment and able to understand basic English.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to follow procedures, instructions and guidance from management.
• Able to pick-up fast on understanding production procedures.
• Working experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Available to work on shifts, weekends, standby on-call and overtime if necessary.
