Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Operations Manager to coordinate production planning and oversee daily manufacturing activities. You will work with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and align schedules to meet delivery targets.

The role requires leadership to guide supervisors, drive process improvements, monitor quality, and enforce safety and environmental regulations while maintaining efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or truck/vehicle assembly operations.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, heavy vehicle, or truck assembly will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality management systems, and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery targets.
• Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth workflow and output efficiency.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to maximize productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with QA/QC teams to address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate production staff and supervisors to achieve performance goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development support.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork within the production department.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
