Job summary

Career Wise in Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented engineer to support production operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are welcome; diploma or degree in Chemical/Manufacturing/Materials/Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

You will help with material batching, SOP adherence, 5S implementation, and safety compliance under supervision. You will learn to identify raw and auxiliary materials, operate and monitor key equipment, maintain accurate records, and cooperate

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering or related fields.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
Knowledge of raw materials, formulation, batching, weighing or production processes is an advantage.
Able to supervise and communicate with production operators/foreign workers.
Detail-oriented with good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Willing to learn and work in a production environment.
Good understanding of SOP, 5S and workplace safety.
Responsible, disciplined and good team player.

Responsibilities

Able to identify different types of raw and auxiliary materials, including grades, specifications, and performance characteristics.
Be familiar with production processes and product formulations.
Be familiar with key equipment such as reaction kettles, vacuum pumps, vibrating screens, and measuring/weighing equipment.
Participate in raw material inventory counting three times per month.
Clearly define the assigned area of responsibility for workplace management.
Supervise and complete daily cleaning and environmental hygiene work within the assigned area and other areas designated by the shift leader.
Learn 5S management principles to improve personal discipline, workplace standards, and execution capability.
Be familiar with operation cards and material information.
Record production material charging data objectively and accurately according to requirements.
Review the material batching records completed by assistant batching operators to ensure records are complete and accurate.
Strengthen hazard identification and risk inspection during production operations.
Propose safety improvement suggestions and follow up on corrective actions.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) according to safety regulations.
