Job summary

A&I M Manufacturing in Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience in factory or production management to lead manufacturing operations in a dynamic setting.

You will drive production planning, enforce quality control, and uphold health and safety standards while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on continuous improvement across all processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in factory or production management.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Good knowledge of production planning, quality control and safety regulations.
Background in Material Science and plating process is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct departmental activities to achieve targets and quality standards.
Set and monitor KPIs for direct reports to meet client, people, and process objectives.
Provide leadership to align with the company’s strategy and goals.
Oversee ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 systems within production.
Ensure production of high-quality products at optimum cost across processes.
Plan, monitor and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines.
Manage manpower planning and production capacity effectively.
Monitor staff performance and coordinate training and improvement programs.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain SOPs for production processes.
Ensure all activities adhere to SOPs and company policies.
Analyze production data to identify issues and drive improvements.
Identify and implement continuous improvements to productivity and efficiency.
Authorize and approve requisition forms for production.
Ensure coordination between departments and management.
Report operational issues and propose practical solutions to top management.

Authorize and approve requisition forms related to the production department.
Ensure effective collaboration and coordination between departments and management.
Report operational issues and propose practical solutions to top management for discussion and decision-making.
