Job summary

JAYA NETS SDN. BHD. in Klang, Malaysia, seeks a proactive Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost objectives.

You will lead the production team, implement lean practices (5S, Kaizen, OEE), and collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Marketing to optimize processes and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, KPIs, OEE and continuous improvement practices.
• Good understanding of ISO quality management systems and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure production output meets quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Lead, coach, and supervise production supervisors and operators to achieve operational excellence.
• Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, downtime, and labour productivity.
• Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Marketing departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Prepare production reports and management reports.
• Participate in audits, inspections, customer visits, and process improvement projects as required.
• Support new product / raw material introductions and process validation activities.
