Job summary

Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all production activities, ensuring cost, quality and productivity align with corporate and plant policies.

You will lead a team of production staff, drive improvements, ensure ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 compliance, and foster a safe, 5S-driven workplace while developing subordinates through training and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all production activities in accordance with corporate and plant policies as well as programme and standard concerning cost, quality and productivity.
• Lead a team of production staff to achieve objectives set out in company and departmental structure trees.
• Ensure product quality is meeting the customer requirements, in-house and external specifications.
• Ensure production output, downtime, and rejects are meeting the targets set in the budget.
• Ensure production expenditure is within the budget.
• Create a conducive safe work environment and cultivate spirit of “Safety First”.
• Continuously explore and organize programs for the productivity and quality improvement.
• Identify training needs and source/organize training programs for subordinates.
• Motivate and promote team spirits amongst subordinates and peers.
• Promote participation of social activities amongst subordinates and peers.
• Ensuring that the quality and environmental management system conforms to the requirement of ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015.
• Implementation and Management of Safety, 5S & ISO
• Any other duties as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.
