Job summary

Powertex Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd is seeking a fresh graduate for the Production Executive / Production Engineer role to support daily production operations, monitor quality and food safety compliance, supervise production activities, and ensure accurate reporting.

You will contribute to productivity, quality standards, and operational efficiency, with responsibilities spanning planning, reporting, CAPA follow-ups, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Production Executive / Production Engineer (Fresh Graduate)

Production Executive / Production Engineer to support daily production operations, monitor quality and food safety compliance, supervise production activities, and ensure accurate reporting and follow-up of operational matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality standards, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations & Manpower Planning

Monitor daily manpower attendance and ensure sufficient staffing at production stations.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.

Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime, rejection, and wastage.

Work closely with production teams to improve productivity and operational performance.

Production Monitoring & Reporting

Update hourly and daily production output accurately and on time.

Conduct tank/size measurements four (4) times daily, including after roll changes and size changes.

Ensure all production and measurement records are complete, accurate, and traceable.

Report production abnormalities, deviations, and non-conformances immediately.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Quality, Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with SOPs, HACCP, food safety requirements, and CCP controls.

Verify all production control forms, CCP records, and quality documents are completed and signed correctly.

Monitor compliance with quality, hygiene, safety, and food safety standards.

Investigate quality issues, product rejections, and non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.

Findings, CAPA & Follow-Up Management

Register and document findings from inspections, audits, production activities, and daily operations.

Track and follow up on CAPA, non-conformance reports, findings, pending approvals, and operational action items until closure.

Escalate overdue or critical issues to management.

Ensure all cases are properly documented and closed with supporting evidence.

Team Supervision & Training

Supervise and guide production employees.

Conduct daily morning meetings covering production, quality, and safety matters.

Monitor employee attendance, performance, and discipline.

Train and coach employees on production procedures, food safety, and safety requirements.

Report employee performance and disciplinary concerns to the HOD and HR.

Enforce company safety policies and 5S practices.

Conduct daily housekeeping and workplace inspections.

Ensure proper waste segregation, disposal, pantry management, and cleanliness standards.

Conduct monthly company asset reviews and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning assets.

Prepare monthly asset review reports for management.

Maintain accurate production, quality, safety, and operational records.

Control and manage production documentation and forms.

Ensure timely submission of reports and required documents.

Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, yield, and cost performance.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
