Job summary

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Kapar, Malaysia, seeks a Production Engineer to lead overall production operations, ensuring output, quality and efficiency targets are met.

You will develop strategic production plans and drive line optimization. You will champion continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen and cost-reduction projects, monitor KPIs, provide technical guidance to engineers and supervisors, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Shift rotation availability required.
• Minimum 2-3 years in glove or rubber-based production.

Responsibilities

• -Lead overall production operations to achieve output, quality, and efficiency targets.
• -Develop and implement strategic production plans aligned with company goals.
• -Oversee process optimization initiatives to enhance line efficiency and reduce defects.
• -Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen, and cost-reduction projects.
• -Monitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions where needed.
• -Ensure ISO, GMP, and regulatory standards compliance in manufacturing.
• -Collaborate with Quality teams to introduce new glove types and improve formulations.
• -Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for process deviations.
• -Manage production resources, manpower, materials, and machinery.
• -Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance schedules.
• -Enforce SHE standards across production lines.
• -Prepare and review production reports, yield analyses, and performance summaries.
• -Provide technical guidance to engineers and production supervisors.
• -Support senior management in strategic decision-making and capacity planning.
• -Drive automation and digitalization to modernize production systems.
