Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking a Production Associate for a 6-month night-shift contract in Malaysia. You will assemble components, operate and maintain machinery, and perform soldering and visual quality checks.

The role requires reading blueprints, using measuring devices, and maintaining clean workstations. You will complete production paperwork and contribute to safety and quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to join a global manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprint drawings.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, rulers, gauges).
• Attention to detail and quality inspection skills.
• Basic tools handling and setup experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety/compliance standards for the area/Samtec.
• Interpret blueprint drawings and build products to specifications.
• Use measuring devices to verify dimensions.
• Meet or exceed productivity goals for the area.
• Identify potential quality issues and maintain quality standards.
• Perform buddy checks to ensure teammates' work meets specs.
• Complete production paperwork and ITS data entries.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Assist with tooling setup and changes as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Description

Summary/Objective

Responsible for assembly and machine based manufacturing capability, including but not limited to setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery and soldering and assembling components. Will also perform visual and quality inspections

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

1. Understand and abide by all safety/compliance standards set by the assigned area/Samtec.

2. Interpretation of blueprint drawings, to build product to the required specifications.

3. Ability to use all required measuring devices pertaining to the given process.

4. Meet/exceed established productivity goals set by the assigned area.

5. Learn and sustain knowledge of all potential quality issues. Work with an attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality standards.

6. Perform buddy checks to confirm team member’s work meets specifications.

7. Complete production paperwork and ITS data collection entries, per the required frequencies.

8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

9. Basic use of tools to setup and change required tooling.

10. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
