Job summary

Samtec in Malaysia is seeking a Production Associate for a 6 months contract on the night shift. You will assemble, operate and maintain machinery, solder and assemble components, and perform visual and quality inspections.

Key responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, using measuring devices, meeting productivity goals, maintaining quality, completing paperwork, and keeping a clean workspace. We may use AI tools to support the hiring process; final decisions remain with humans.

Production Associate (6 Months Contract) Night Shift

Summary/Objective

Responsible for assembly and machine based manufacturing capability, including but not limited to setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery and soldering and assembling components. Will also perform visual and quality inspections

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

• 1. Understand and abide by all safety/compliance standards set by the assigned area/Samtec.
• 2. Interpretation of blueprint drawings, to build product to the required specifications.
• 3. Ability to use all required measuring devices pertaining to the given process.
• 4. Meet/exceed established productivity goals set by the assigned area.
• 5. Learn and sustain knowledge of all potential quality issues. Work with an attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality standards.
• 6. Perform buddy checks to confirm team member’s work meets specifications.
• 7. Complete production paperwork and ITS data collection entries, per the required frequencies.
• 8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• 9. Basic use of tools to setup and change required tooling.
• 10. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
