Role Description

The Product Test Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ipoh, Malaysia. The individual in this role will develop, implement, and optimize test programs and strategies for semiconductor products, ensuring that electrical and functional requirements are met. Daily responsibilities include configuring and maintaining test equipment, analyzing test data, troubleshooting product and test issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as design, process, and quality engineering. The Product Test Engineer will support new product introduction, drive yield and test time improvements, and contribute to continuous enhancement of test methodologies and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Test Engineering and Product Testing, with experience designing and validating test plans for semiconductor devices.
• Hands-on skills in Testing and working with Test Equipment, including setup, calibration, and maintenance of automated test systems.
• Educational background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with knowledge of electronic circuits, semiconductor devices, and measurement techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for interpreting test data, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with industry quality standards and test methodologies used in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., test development environments, data analysis tools, basic programming or scripting) is an advantage.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in an OSAT, semiconductor manufacturing, or similar high-technology environment is beneficial.
