Job summary

AIA in Kuala Lumpur invites an experienced Product Owner/Manager to define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring delivery of business value across technology and business teams. The role requires coordinating with IT, vendors, and various stakeholders to align with processes and application systems.

You will influence the product lifecycle, manage resourcing, and support the portfolio's OKRs while guiding teams through SIT/UAT/ORT testing and peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Product Management: Workstream planning, financial management & stability management; Prioritize from Portfolio Backlog; Translate business requirements into system solutions; Plan resource allocation for product team and engineers.
• Delivery Management: Provide clarifications and decisions on product direction; Refine backlog with changing business needs; Ensure product supports business strategy and OKRs; Translate user stories to functional requirements; Engage with IT and vendors through end-to-end delivery; Support SIT/UAT/ORT and weekend peak testing.
• People Development & Mgmt: Attract and retain high quality contributors; Develop high performers through learning and development; Promote effective processes mindset; Optimize resource planning; Build career growth aligned with helping customers live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.

About the Role

Person in position act as product owner/manager that define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to ensure the successful delivery of business value. He/She is responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of prioritized user stories and ensuring alignment with business processes and application systems which require he/she to manage, communication and influence the product life cycle & delivery with multiple stakeholders (within technology, third party vendors, group, business team). Must have good organizational ability, be able to multi-task within a complex environment and have good people skills by having strong stakeholders engagement. This position is important to support the portfolio of TECH deliveries to meet stakeholders’ expectation.

40% - Product Management

• Responsible for workstream planning, financial management & stability management
• Prioritization based on Portfolio Backlog if changes or new requests arise
• Ensure business and functional requirements are translated to system solutions
• Manage, optimize, plan resourcing for product manager, Product Manager, software engineer to complete execution delivery

40% - Delivery Management

• Provide clarifications, answer questions and decision making regarding the product’s direction to avoid delays and misalignment
• Continues to refine the Product Backlog, adding, amending or removing based on changing business needs and customer feedback
• Responsible for ensuring that the product successfully supports business strategy and portfolio OKRs
• Responsible to understand, challenge, and analyse user stories/requirements and translate them to functional requirements
• To act as the subject matter expert for business processes & IT solutions
• Interact, communicate with, and influence multiple stakeholders (IT, third party vendors, business team) throughout end-to-end solution delivery processes.
• Provide support throughout SIT, UAT, ORT to ensure testing is done in accordance to functional requirements, including weekend support during peak.
