Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Product Engineer (Mechanical) to support day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement.

The role involves collaborating with design engineering to ensure products are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective, while supporting NPI activities and lifecycle management. You will develop processes, tooling, test methods, and documentation, and help sustain quality and regulatory compliance across the manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, quality and efficiency.
• Identify, analyze and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues using structured problem-solving.
• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling and test methods.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and support transfers to production.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability, quality and reliability.
• Support product lifecycle management including cost reductions and obsolescence management.
• Partner with suppliers and procurement to address quality, delivery and material availability.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation: BOMs, routings, process flows, and change documentation.
• Utilize data and digital tools to drive process improvements and excellence.
• Support validation, qualification and risk assessment to ensure robust processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, safety and company standards.
