Job summary

Cricut is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead development from concept through high-volume manufacturing, collaborating with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve product and process issues. You will design 3D CAD models and drawings, perform DFMA/DOE reviews, and drive cost reductions while ensuring manufacturability and reliability across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience developing and launching consumer products or similar in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with NPI teams and suppliers to ensure smooth transition from design to mass production.
Design 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for components.
Perform DFMA, DFI, and DTC reviews for manufacturability and cost control.
Drive cost-reduction initiatives through Value Engineering and Design-to-Cost.
Review tooling and processes, including FAI, for form, fit, and function.
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
Apply DOE and process capability studies to optimize performance.
Perform validation testing with Quality team and coordinate with suppliers.
