Job summary

Cricut Malaysia is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering Team. This role owns system-level integration, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of printer platforms (3D, Inkjet, Thermal), ensuring subsystems work together as a reliable product from prototype through mass production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration, product development, validation, or troubleshooting of complex precision electromechanical products.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing or related printing systems; strong FDM/FFF experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of system interactions across mechanics, electronics, embedded firmware, sensors, thermal control, motion control, and software.
  • Experience supporting NPI programs from prototype through EVT/DVT/PVT and mass production.
  • Proven ability to diagnose ambiguous system-level problems and drive solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Experience defining validation methods, acceptance criteria, and data-driven engineering decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Own integration of mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software subsystems into a complete 3D printer platform.
  • Define, validate, and manage system interfaces, requirements, operating limits, and integration dependencies across disciplines.
  • Lead system-level bring-up, debugging, issue triage, and technical resolution from prototype through production.
  • Drive system architecture and design integration reviews; identify integration risks early and lead mitigation plans.
  • Assess product-level tradeoffs and use data to drive cross-functional technical decisions.
