Job summary

Keysight is seeking an engineer in Penang to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for refurbishing products and integrating them into the Keysight Remarketing Services (KRS). You will contribute to New Product Introductions and set up end-to-end refurbishment and test configurations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to train technicians and inspectors in quality procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Integrate products with different product structures as refurbished products into KRS.
• Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure timely launch of NPI.
• Set up refurbishment, option reconfiguration, test, repair and final configuration processes at KRS; seek improvements.
• Set up and maintain Test Station and related equipment.
• Develop and maintain operating instructions for technicians and inspectors (OQA/PQA).
• Provide product training to technicians, OQA/PQA and Planning.
• Collaborate with internal partners on product and quality issues to implement preventive measures.

In this role, you will have the opportunities to work with different teams such as production, procurement, planning, quality, technical, calibration services, suppliers and contract manufacturers to sustain and improve products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Integrating products with different product structures as refurbished products into Keysight Remarketing Services (KRS).
• Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure timely launch of NPI.
• Set up refurbishment, option reconfiguration, test, repair and final configuration processes as well as capabilities at KRS. Continuously look into process improvement opportunities.
• Set up and maintain Test Station.
• Develop and maintain Operating Instructions (OI) or procedures for technicians and Outgoing/Production Quality Assurance (OQA/PQA) inspectors.
• Provide product related training to technicians, OQA/PQA and Order Management (OM)/Planning.
• Work with internal partners (Product Support Engineering, New Products Division, Quality, Procurement) on any product and quality related issues to come up with resolutions/preventive measures if needed.
• Look into process efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Basic understanding of electronics as well as test and measurement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in relevant tools, systems, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience performing structured root‑cause analysis.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and support training for technicians and inspectors.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a high‑mix, low-volume, fast‑changing engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of programming and familiarity with AI‑based tools or technologies is a plus.
