Job summary

Hong Leong Assurance Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Product Development Lead with actuarial or mathematics background to drive end-to-end product development, from ideation through implementation.

You will coordinate with agents, staff trainings, and support launches and campaigns while monitoring market trends to align with channel strategies for Agency, Bancassurance and other channels.

Qualifications

• Lead the New Product Development process and initial ideation discussions.

Job description

• The lead to New Product Development process
• Lead of the initial discussions on product ideation
• Managing the end-to-end Product Implementation process and the project timeline deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal / external key stakeholders to ensure efficient communication
• Responsible on the preparation of product documentations for review / approval
• Responsible on the communications to agents and to conduct internal staff trainings
• Supports on Product launch roadshows
• Supports on Product Campaigns alongside with the development of marketing & product materials.
• Support distribution channels and ensure product strategy for Agency, Bancassurance and Alternative Channels are met.
• Manage and conduct focus group discussion with distributors or customer.
• Monitor market trends and developments & conduct market research and prepare analysis on insights on the market.

Others

• Responsible to lead on any regulation changes and ensure compliance.

Job Requirements

• Tertiary education preferably with Actuarial/ Mathematics background.
• With at least 3 to 5 years' experience of which 1 year as people manager.
• Well verse knowledge regarding regulatory, sales distribution, insurance products.
• Insurance & regulatory knowledge, consumer marketing knowledge, statistics, underwriting guidelines.
• Able to be independent on performing project management.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
