Job summary

Starlite Printers (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a creative Product Designer (Team Green) to craft packaging designs based on customer requirements and project specs.

You will prepare concepts, technical drawings and prototypes, ensuring production readiness and quality standards. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Product or Packaging Design, proficiency in Illustrator/AutoCAD, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design or related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, structural design and printing processes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop product and packaging designs based on customer requirements and project specs.
• Prepare technical drawings, datelines, artwork layouts, mock-ups and prototypes.
• Review and revise designs for production suitability and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Quality on design specs.
• Assist in sample making, product testing and design approval before mass production.
• Maintain design files, drawings and related documentation.
• Ensure all designs meet customer requirements, company procedures and quality standards.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer (Team Green) to develop packaging designs based on customer requirements, prepare design concepts and prototypes, and work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and production requirements.

You will play an important role in:

• Develop product and packaging designs based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Prepare technical drawings, datelines, artwork layouts, mock-ups and prototypes for product development.
• Review and revise designs to ensure accuracy, functionality and suitability for production.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Quality departments on design requirements and product specifications.
• Assist in sample making, product testing and design approval before mass production.
• Maintain accurate design files, technical drawings and related documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with customer requirements, company procedures and applicable quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Diploma or Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design or a related field.
• Proficient in relevant design software such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD or equivalent applications.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, structural design and printing processes is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
