Job summary

Uni Enrol Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a UI/UX designer who enjoys creating meaningful digital experiences through user-centred design. You will translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive designs for our student-facing website, internal tools, and products that help students discover higher education opportunities.

Working with Head of Products and a small design team, you will ensure designs are feasible, implemented, and shipped.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on UI/UX or product design experience.
• A portfolio showing shipped work that demonstrates UX thinking and design process.
• Good understanding of responsive and user-centred design, and core UX principles.
• Solid proficiency in Figma and the ability to defend design decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end experiences across products, including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI.
• Support user research activities to gather needs and insights.
• Iterate designs based on user feedback and troubleshoot UX issues.
• Build and maintain UI components within our Figma design system.
• Collaborate with Product Manager, stakeholders and developers for feasibility and implementation.
• Recommend design improvements to reduce friction in high-traffic flows.
• Stay current with design trends and share insights with the team.

Job description

We're looking for a UI/UX designer who enjoys creating meaningful digital experiences through thoughtful, user-centred design. You'll translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, practical designs across our student-facing website, internal tools, and products that help students discover the right higher-education opportunities. Working closely with our Head of Products, Senior Designer, and In-house Developers, you'll make sure designs are not only beautiful but technically feasible and successfully implemented. You'll join a two-person design team (you and a senior designer) and work directly with our Head of Products on features that matter — including improving our core student matching journey and evolving our design system.

Key responsibilities

Design end-to-end experiences across our products — user flows, wireframes, responsive high-fidelity UI, and interactive prototypes

Support user research activities to gather user needs and insights, and help build a stronger habit of designing from evidence

Iterate designs based on user feedback, and troubleshoot UX issues as they arise

Build and maintain UI components and assets within our Figma design system

Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy

Recommend design improvements to existing products — including reducing friction in high-traffic flows

Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices, and share relevant insights with the team

About you

Around 2–4 years of hands-on UI/UX or product design experience

A portfolio showcasing real, shipped work — ideally full features — that demonstrates your UX thinking and design process, not just final screens

Good understanding of responsive design, user-centred design, and core UX principles

Solid proficiency in Figma (or an equivalent design/prototyping tool)

Ability to communicate and defend design decisions clearly to the team and stakeholders

A collaborative, self-directed attitude — comfortable owning your work in a small team

Nice to have

Working knowledge of front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS)

Familiarity with user research methods and turning insights into design decisions

Using AI tools to speed up and sharpen your design workflow
