Job summary

ATLAS CLOUD SERVICES in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement for data center projects, including sourcing, RFQs, tendering, and supplier evaluations.

The role requires strong vendor negotiations, contract administration, and strategic sourcing to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance across CAPEX and OPEX budgets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders to optimise procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in supply chain, procurement, business admin, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in data center, telecoms, IT infrastructure, critical facilities, construction, or M&E environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, contract administration, and strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and supplier negotiations.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure and equipment is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost-management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for data center projects and operations, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase order issuance, and supplier management.
• Source and procure critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, IT, networking, security, and facility-related equipment and services.
• Conduct RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service standards.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, service agreements, and payment terms with vendors and service providers.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contract compliance to ensure uninterrupted project execution and operations.
• Manage procurement activities for CAPEX and OPEX expenditures in accordance with approved budgets.
• Coordinate with logistics providers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchase documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Support vendor onboarding, qualification, and ongoing performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and audit requirements.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including supplier disputes, delivery delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
