Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT/DIP Technician to support assembly lines in Penang. The role focuses on setting up and monitoring solder paste printing parameters, and optimizing reflow profiles to prevent defects.

Candidates should have 1+ years' SMT/DIP experience, basic IPC-A-610 knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills. Familiarity with wave soldering, SPI/AOI, and equipment maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SMT/DIP process technician experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and common soldering defects.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork spirit.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor solder paste printing parameters (thickness, stencil cleaning frequency).
• Take and optimize reflow profiles to prevent defects (cold solder, tombstoning, bridging).
• Troubleshoot common SMT defects (missing components, misalignment) and elevate complex issues.
• Inspect through-hole component insertion quality (e.g., capacitors, connectors) and ensure proper interconnects.
• Resolve wave soldering defects (poor wetting, voids, bridges) and support root cause analysis.

Familiar with SMT equipment and process (pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI)

Set up and monitor solder paste printing parameters (thickness, stencil cleaning frequency)

Take and optimize reflow profiles to prevent defects (cold solder, tombstoning, bridging)

Troubleshoot common SMT defects (missing components, misalignment, etc.) and elevate complex issues DIP Technician:

Familiar with wave soldering machines and cutting equipment and other equipment

Adjust wave soldering parameters (wave height, preheat temperature, conveyor speed)

Inspect through-hole component insertion quality (e.g., capacitors, connectors)

Resolve wave soldering defects (poor wetting, voids, bridges) and support root cause analysis

Job Requirements:

1. 1+ years of SMT/DIP process technician experience is preferred
2. Basic knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and common soldering defects
3. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork spirit
