Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Diploma-qualified Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer to support manufacturing and engineering tasks in Bayan Lepas.

You will perform product testing, assist in jig/fixture setup, take basic measurements, and help engineers with EVT/DVT/MLT builds, with training provided for specialized tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering support environment.
• Willingness to undergo training for specialized tasks (FVT, FAR, potting, fixture PM).

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing following approved test instructions (training provided).
• Execute FAR/dummy-run as supervised by engineers.
• Update Visual Guide and simple labelling software templates based on engineer inputs.
• Assist in FVT software download (following documented steps).
• Assist in DGS preparation for WIP failure documentation.
• Update weekly yield data for engineer review (not analysis).
• Highlight equipment abnormalities to Supervisor/Engineer — no deep troubleshooting required.
• Perform basic PM updates on jigs, fixtures, and ESD torque drivers.
• Support ESD and OSH compliance on floor.
• Perform basic mechanical measurements (dimension, warpage, torque).
• Assist in jig & fixture alignment checks and simple PM tasks (tightening, cleaning, visual check).
• Pre-check alignment and support
• Basic part handling
• Prepare and handle engineering samples for EVT/DVT/PVT/MLT builds with proper traceability.
• Assist engineers in fit-up checks, connector alignment checks, and simple mechanical verification.
• Assist in setting up mechanical validation tests (e.g., SnV fixture loading, drop test prep).
• Document observations clearly using notes, measurements, and photos.
