Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to prepare Hazardous Area Classification and design Fire Protection Systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, be registered with BEM, and possess 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Qualifications

• Registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• 6 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry engineering work.
• Ability to plan and review engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify Hazardous Area Classification (HAC).
• Design Fire Protection and Firewater Systems.
• Conduct SIL / LOPA assessments and safety reviews.

Skills

Technical capability in engineering discipline

Communication skills with engineers and designers

Ability to train and supervise younger engineers

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
