Job summary

Bosch in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced engineer to lead new product introductions, line setup, and process improvements. You will coordinate line releases, perform capability studies, and guide teams through pilot runs and mass production readiness.

The role requires a solid manufacturing background, 3+ years of experience, and strong problem-solving skills including DOE/MTM-UAS and FMEA application. English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in NPI, manufacturing activities and documentation (WI, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, VT, 8D).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, IEC/EN60745 and product safety requirements is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to perform data analysis and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product introduction, line setup, and line release processes.
• Drive value stream improvement, time studies, and productivity initiatives.
• Coordinate PGL guidelines, VSD/SCAL/LLD planning and pre-pilot activities.
• Conduct RCAs, 8D problem solving, and support QA in issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, control plans and FMEA.
• Mentor and supervise technicians, ensuring KPI achievement and timely reports.
