Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Process Engineer to support the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of a new plant in Malaysia. The role collaborates with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and technical experts to ensure operability and readiness of plant processes and equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, 2–8 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with P&IDs, drawings, and control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2–8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, chemical, refinery, or industrial plants.
• Experience in plant setup, commissioning, or process improvement is highly preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of industrial utilities, process equipment, pumps, motors, piping systems, and control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate with China-based teams, suppliers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, installation, and commissioning of the new plant.
• Coordinate with technical teams, suppliers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, layouts, and specs.
• Monitor project progress and ensure schedule, quality, and safety compliance.
• Assist in equipment testing, troubleshooting, and start-up activities.
• Develop and optimize operating procedures and process documentation.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and HSE standards.
