Process Engineer – Lithography / Track Specialist
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a strong specialization in Lithography and Track systems to support our growing operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware engineering and advanced process development. You will provide high-level process support at customer wafer fabs, optimizing lithography parameters, evaluating photoresist/chemical interactions, and troubleshooting complex defects to ensure peak equipment performance and maximum yield.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Evaluation & Optimization: Provide advanced process support for lithography systems (specifically coater/developer tracks), ensuring precise critical dimension (CD) control, optimal uniformity, and minimal defectivity.
- Customer Fab Support: Partner directly with customers' process integration and yield enhancement teams to resolve complex process issues and optimize equipment parameters.
- New Process Introduction (NPI): Assist customers in characterizing and qualifying new lithography recipes, photoresists, BARC, and top-coat materials.
- Advanced Defect Troubleshooting: Analyze lithography process variations and pattern defects. Develop robust out-of-control action plans (OCAPs) and continuous improvement strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Service and Equipment Engineers to perform tool matching, track-to-scanner interface optimization, and comprehensive electro-mechanical-process troubleshooting.
- Reporting & Presentation: Compile highly technical process evaluation reports and lead technical presentations during weekly customer and internal reviews.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of direct process engineering experience in lithography within semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) or semiconductor equipment environments.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of photolithography fundamentals and coat/develop track systems.
- Deep understanding of fluid dynamics and chemical interactions.
- Hands-on experience with lithography metrology tools (CD-SEM, overlay, defect inspection).
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Soft Skills: Excellent customer-facing communication, strong documentation practices, and a collaborative mindset.
- Operational Flexibility: Cleanroom experience required; willingness to support irregular hours or standby rosters as needed.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Microelectronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
