Job summary

Pro We Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Engineer to join its water treatment and seawater RO projects in Malaysia. The role emphasizes design, analysis and hands-on implementation of RO systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ experience, strong water-treatment knowledge, and practical RO system design/installation experience. AutoCAD and Excel skills are required, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in water treatment, RO, wastewater treatment or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of water-treatment processes and practical RO system design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, engineering calculations and P&ID/PFD documentation.
• Knowledge of RO design software or equivalent membrane-design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop water-treatment and RO systems according to customer requirements and raw-water quality.
• Review water analysis and determine appropriate treatment processes.
• Prepare process calculations, process flow diagrams, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Carry out equipment sizing and selection, including RO membranes, pumps, pressure vessels, filters, dosing systems and other process equipment.
• Calculate system capacity, recovery, operating pressure and chemical requirements.
• Review system performance and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare technical proposals, system specifications, equipment lists and technical datasheets.
• Prepare BOQ and assist with project costing.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Sales, Procurement and Production teams.
• Provide technical support during equipment fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of water-treatment and RO systems.
• Investigate system performance and water-quality problems, troubleshoot RO and water-treatment system failures.
• Conduct site surveys and technical inspections, collect water samples and operating information.
• Travel to customer/project sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and inspection.

We are looking for a Process Engineer with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join our technical team in water treatment systems and seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO). The ideal candidate should be technically strong, practical, responsible and capable of working independently on water-treatment and RO projects.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop water-treatment and RO systems according to customer requirements and raw-water quality

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in water treatment, RO, wastewater treatment or process engineering

Strong understanding of water-treatment processes

Practical experience in RO system design and installation

Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, engineering calculations, P&ID / PFD preparation and technical documentation

Experience in Reverse Osmosis (RO), Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO), Brackish Water RO, Ultrafiltration (UF), multimedia filtration, cartridge filtration, chemical dosing systems, wastewater treatment, industrial water treatment, pumps and piping systems, membrane systems, water-quality analysis, CIP systems, or instrumentation and control

Knowledge of RO design software or equivalent membrane-design tools
