Job summary

GlobalFoundries Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to support wafer fabrication operations in Penang. You will monitor production lines, analyze data, and assist in improving process robustness and tool performance.

The role includes coaching junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with strong analytical skills, knowledge of AI/ML, and a willingness to travel for training or overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• MS/BS in Engineering (Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/Materials/Chemistry & Physics)
• Excellent teamwork and communication
• Experience with data analytics and AI/ML is a plus
• Python coding is a plus, knowledge of wafer fabrication is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Sustain production line monitoring, SPC/FDC, CPK improvement, and troubleshooting for process and tool issues.
• Support CIP projects to improve process robustness, cost and capacity efficiency; develop new process recipes.
• Assist production ramp by process qualification, productivity gains, and new tool releases.
• Provide training to Associate Engineers and support day-to-day operations.
• Explore rotation or overseas assignments and potential patent opportunities.
