ams-OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks a Technical Lead to direct process development activities for semiconductor production and coordinate transfer from Regensburg. You will manage projects, define processes, and deliver robust metrology and data analyses.

A strong background in Wet/Plating and frontline leadership is essential. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth ramp-up of new products and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• BSc/ PhD in Engineering or related field (Physics, Material Science, Optoelectronics, Electrical Engineering)
• Experience in semiconductor industry, especially Wet/Plating processes
• Strong leadership, team work, and communication skills
• Proficient in data analysis and process optimization methods

Responsabilités

• Lead development team for new processes window definition and process capability improvements
• Manage process projects independently with clear timelines and rigorous experimentation
• Involve in New Product Introduction to ensure smooth ramp-up of new products

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Technical Lead team to Develop (or transfer from Regensburg) Processes to support the Product (Chip) Development projects. Manage process projects independently, plan and work per project timeline effectively, well-designed experiments and write clear, concise technical reports documenting the results.
• Key task is the lead development team of new processes window defination, understand the process capability and improvement on process or process block. Strong in Frontend Metrology knowledge and data analysis.
• Deep involvement on new product introduction to ensure smooth transition & ramp up of new products.
• Key interface between Process RnD Rbg for new processes and technologies, have a detailled market overview. Work on Collaboration and Standardization.

• B.Sc, Ph.D B.Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Wet, Optoelectronics, Electrical Engineering or similar field
• Microsoft Office, Project management skills, FMEA, Statistics, 8D, 6sigma, Corner Stone, Minitab, JMP
• min 5 years of working experience in an industrial environment like semiconductor industries, in the area of Wet/Plating processes, and leading/Project Management experience is required.
• Technical/physical/ Material Science/ Optical Understanding of Wet/Plating processes and knowledge in relevant analytical methods
• Strong knowledge in usage of semiconductor materials
• Strong leadership skill, communication skills and ability to work in a team, analytical thinking and creativity
