Job summary

X-FAB is seeking a HV device and process development engineer to join our global Process Development team in Kuching, Malaysia, while working as part of an international organization advancing mixed signal high voltage CMOS technologies. You will engage in device development, process flow definition, and cross‑functional projects across borders.

Ideal candidates bring a degree in physics or electrical engineering, hands-on HV device experience, DoE proficiency, and strong English communication

Qualifications

• Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Physics, Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
• Experience in development, functionality, manufacturing, characterization and application of semiconductor devices, preferably HV devices.
• Trained in design-of-experiments and statistical techniques is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Development of semiconductor devices, mainly HV devices.
• Define semiconductor process flows and device architectures.
• Design and evaluate experiments using DoE methodology.
• Develop and design test structures.
• Electrical characterization of HV transistors.
• Process integration and cooperation with other departments.
• Manage development projects in interdisciplinary and international teams.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• TCAD simulation of devices and processes.
• Cooperate with external partners in funded projects.

X-FAB is looking for a HV device and process development engineer to join our global Process Development team, preferred in Kuching, Malaysia, but working as part of an international organization developing mixed signal high voltage CMOS technologies.

Your Role

• Development of semiconductor devices, mainly HV devices.


• Define semiconductor process flows and device architectures.


• Definition, implementation and evaluation of experiments, using Design of Experiments (DoE) methodology.


• Development and design of test structures.


• Electrical characterization of HV transistors.


• Process integration and cooperation with other departments within X-FAB.


• Management of development projects, working in interdisciplinary and international teams.


• Offer technical support to customers.


• TCAD Simulation of devices and processes.


• Cooperation with external partners (e.g. in funded projects).

Your Profle

• Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Physics, Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering or related subjects.

• Familiarity with TCAD and test structure design would be advantageous.


• Hands-on experience of HV devices, including know-how regarding electrical parameter improvement, ESD, device reliability
