Job summary

Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Staff/Principal Engineer for STPG PE System Batu Kawan to drive SSD development and support high-volume manufacturing. You will tackle SSD failure analysis from NPI to HVM and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve yield and reliability issues.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering, with strong C/C++/Python/Perl skills and knowledge of SATA/SAS interfaces;

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in SSD industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl.
• Knowledge of SATA/SAS storage interfaces is beneficial.
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot) for productivity and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and support high-volume SSD manufacturing.
• Support SSD failure analysis from NPI to HVM stages.
• Perform yield evaluation and data analysis.
• Conduct detailed failure analysis and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve SSD issues.
• Troubleshoot customer returns and provide solutions.
