Job summary

Nexus International School is seeking a dedicated educator to provide teaching cover and support for the class teacher in managing pupils and classrooms.

The role requires promoting the school vision, implementing strategic actions, and ensuring planned learning for EY–Year 6 students. You will work with the year team and parents to support individual children, maintain an orderly learning environment, and safeguard pupils. An immediate vacancy exists with ad-hoc availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education/teaching/training.
• Able to work with primary learners (EY–Year 6).
• Experience in international education settings preferred.
• Passionate about the growth and development of children.
• Available ad-hoc and immediate vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching cover duties and general support to the class teacher in managing pupils and classrooms.
• Promote and communicate the school vision, strategic aims and actions for the year group.
• Implement actions based on the school's objectives and policies.
• Ensure planned learning within the class or teaching group based on children's attainment.
• Work with year team, school leaders and parents to support individual children.
• Assist teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• Promote inclusion ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
• Be proactive in preparing resources and taking initiative in supporting learning.
• Supervise and manage students in the absence of subject teachers.
