Job summary

Labuan Reinsurance (L) Ltd. is seeking a Senior Analyst to perform actuarial functions in General Reinsurance Pricing and Analysis. The role focuses on pricing tool development, pricing analysis for new products, and supporting underwriters on pricing for non-standard treaty and onerous contracts.

Dual reporting to Actuarial Head & Chief Underwriting Officer. Key responsibilities include assisting with pricing reviews, developing and reviewing pricing tools, and preparing dashboards for

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Actuarial or Mathematics.
• Currently pursuing actuarial professional qualification (CAS/IFoA/SOA).
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in general insurance/reinsurance actuarial pricing.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters in new product pricing.
• Assist underwriters in reinsurance premium pricing reviews for treaty and facultative contracts (non standard and onerous contracts).
• Develop the new pricing tool and review the existing pricing tool.
• Prepare dashboards and portfolio analyses for underwriters and Management Committee.
• Understand basic terminologies and features of insurance and reinsurance contracts.

Job description

The Senior Analyst role with Labuan Reinsurance (L) Ltd to perform actuarial functions on General Reinsurance Pricing and Analysis. The primary responsibilities include developing pricing tools, conducting pricing analysis for new products, and providing support to underwriters in all aspects of pricing, particularly for non-standard treaty and facultative contracts or onerous contracts. Dual reporting to Actuarial Head & Chief Underwriting Officer.

General Reinsurance Pricing

• Assist underwriters in new product pricing.
• Assist underwriters in reinsurance premium pricing reviews for treaty and facultative contracts (non standard and onerous contracts).
• Assist to develop the new pricing tool.
• Review the existing pricing tool.
• Prepare dashboards and portfolios analyses for the underwriters and occasionally the Management Committee.
• Understand the basic terminologies in an insurance and reinsurance contract.
• Understand the features of reinsurance treaties.
• Understand the fundamentals and features of the class of businesses underwritten

REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree in Actuarial or Mathematics and must currently pursuing in actuarial professional qualification (CAS/ IFoA/ SOA)
• Must have a minimum 3 years working experience in general insurance/ reinsurance actuarial pricing
