Purpose
Perform analytical and actuarial pricing duties to provide data governance and accurate analyses for senior pricing actuaries, covering reserving, reporting, risk management, and product pricing.
Advise on pricing and design of new products, focusing on protection products.
Solve business challenges using statistical and predictive modeling techniques (Exposure Curves, GLMs, machine learning, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, regression, neural networks) applied to business decisions.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing actuarial pricing team.
- Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of models (pricing, capital, P&L, APMP, ZRC, conversion, retention).
- Conduct complex statistical analyses, data mining, and modeling to support pricing and financial decisions.
- Identify trends, assess risks, and optimize pricing strategies through advanced analytical techniques.
- Ensure data integrity through robust governance practices.
- Manage data collection, cleaning, and validation processes.
- Maintain pricing databases for model development and analysis.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand needs and provide actuarial expertise.
- Communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Support business decisions with statistical and actuarial analysis and recommendations.
- Drive new product development initiatives through pricing expertise.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
- Develop and implement pricing methodologies for new products.
- Maintain compliance with actuarial standards and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required pricing reports and product documentation for local filings and global approvals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Guide, train, and mentor pricing staff.
- Monitor unit performance with actuarial and financial measures.
- Participate in business unit plans and quarterly reviews.
- Support product repricing initiatives for protection products.
- Expand knowledge of actuarial disciplines to build value‑adding technical knowledge.
- Actively pursue local actuarial qualification.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
- Typically four or more years of related experience.
- Progressing in a professional actuarial qualification (UK, US, or Australia).
- Experience with programming/statistical tools such as MS Excel‑VBA, Power BI, SAS, SQL, R, Python, Emblem, Radar, or Prophet.
