Job summary

KLC Education Group in Malaysia is seeking a senior leader for the Preschool who will be responsible for all operations and quality care. You will drive strategic planning, curriculum development, and the implementation of educational programs while ensuring an engaging, safe learning environment for children.

You will collaborate with department heads, guide teachers, manage recruitment and professional development, and coordinate school events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• 4–5 years of teaching and management experience.
• Consideration for a retired principal with relevant experience.
• Experience with international schools is preferred.
• Experience managing multiple branches is desirable.
• Willingness to work in Malacca.
• English, Malay and Mandarin are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall administration and management of the preschool.
• Lead strategic planning, curriculum development and implementation.
• Prepare and monitor a conducive learning environment and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with heads of departments and teachers to align curriculum with preschool standards and school mission.
• Support effective teaching methods and student assessment to improve outcomes.
• Promote a positive, inclusive school culture emphasizing respect and integrity.
• Foster relationships with students, parents and faculty to address concerns.
• Lead recruitment, selection and orientation of teaching staff and their professional development.
• Coordinate extracurricular activities, events and field trips to enhance student engagement.
• Oversee student discipline, safety, attendance and health services.
• Develop safety and emergency procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan monthly teacher training and additional job-related development.
• Report to management on class progress and areas for improvement.
