Job summary

Aida Group in Johor, Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician to perform precision assembly of machine parts and sub-assemblies. You will follow technical drawings, install frames, shafts, bearings and motion components, and conduct basic alignment and checks.

Candidate should read mechanical drawings, handle measuring tools, and work closely with production, QA and engineering teams on the production floor. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for general track roles.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to read basic mechanical drawings.
• Familiar with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as vernier callipers, micrometres, dial gauges, and torque wrenches is an added advantage.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes safely is an added advantage.
• Ability to drive forklift or reach truck is an added advantage.
• Willing to work in production floor environment.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (General Purpose track).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of machine parts and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions.
• Install and fit mechanical components such as frames, shafts, bearings, couplings and motion parts.
• Carry out mechanical adjustment, alignment and basic functional checking.
• Assemble additional or customized mechanical modules when required.
• Conduct self inspection and provide support to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Assist in packing and preparing completed units for shipment.
• Work closely with production, QA and engineering teams.
