Job summary

Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Incoming Quality specialist for MFC components. You will inspect materials, review supplier documentation, and ensure conformance to drawings and quality standards in a high-precision manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on measurement with CMMs and calipers, strong problem-solving, and effective cross-functional collaboration with SQE, purchasing, and production teams to sustain quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering or related degree.
• 3+ years in incoming quality or related quality function.
• Knowledge of drawings, GD&T, inspection methods, and quality control.
• Experience with precision components used in semiconductor or MFC apps is a plus.
• Hands-on measurement tools experience (CMM, calipers, micrometers).
• FAI/FAIR, GR&R, MSA, SPC, CAPA, 8D, root cause analysis experience.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T; ISO 9001 knowledge.
• Experience with leak/pressure/flow testing in MFC contexts is advantageous.
• ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform incoming inspection for raw materials and components.
• Review FAIRs and supplier qualification to ensure compliance.
• Create and maintain incoming inspection specifications and sampling plans.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to define inspection methods for MFC parts.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections with proper equipment.
• Investigate quality issues with SQE and suppliers; drive CAPA/8D actions.
• Support Gemba walks and supplier site visits; verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate as GR&R assessor for critical measurement tools.
• Analyze inspection results, identify defects and trends, and suggest improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline inspection and improve sampling methods.
