Job summary

TG Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to ensure quality of incoming materials and components. You will review COC/MTC, interpret drawings, and perform dimensional inspections with precision tools. You will support supplier quality programs and maintain traceable quality records.

Fresh graduates and experienced engineers with strong fundamentals are welcome. The role emphasizes CAPA, NCR handling, and collaboration across Procurement, Engineering, and Production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferably 2–5 years of experience in IQC, IQA, supplier quality, manufacturing quality or QA/QC.
• Fresh graduates with strong engineering fundamentals may apply.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings; knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
• Familiar with dimensional inspection and precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis and ISO 9001.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, welding, pressure equipment, industrial gas, oil and gas, or semiconductor environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, mechanical and electrical components, fabricated parts, valves, fittings and welding consumables.
• Verify materials against engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and thread gauges.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (COC), Material Test Certificates (MTC) and inspection reports.
• Raise NCRs and coordinate the handling of rejected or non-conforming materials.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI), supplier audits, CAPA follow-up and supplier performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, material traceability and quality documentation.
• Support continuous improvement, digital quality documentation and inspection automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Production, Warehouse and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
