Job summary

Ichor Systems is seeking a Machine Operator in Minnesota to start and observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and adjust controls. You will read blueprints, determine tolerances, and set up fixtures on mills and lathes while verifying parts with precision measuring tools.

Candidates should have 1+ years of experience in metalworking, basic CMM/GD&T knowledge, and HS diploma. ITAR compliance applies; US Persons only apply at this site.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting abilities required.
• Ability to operate vertical/horizontal mill, lathe or Swiss machinery.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers; basic CMM, GD&T, and SPC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls.
• Selects, aligns and secures fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials on mills, lathes and CNC tools.
• Installs tooling, verifies tool offsets and references tooling list.
• Verifies finished workpieces against specifications using measuring tools.
• Communicates process issues to supervisor for investigation and completes paperwork.
