Job summary

P & P HIKMAH in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform assembly work according to approved instructions, drawings, and quality requirements. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs and maintaining product quality to specification.

You will support line productivity by minimizing defects, rework, and scrap, perform basic self-inspection, ensure proper use of tools, maintain 5S in the workspace, and assist in daily briefings and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• 1. Perform assembly work according to approved work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
• 2. Follow SOPs and ensure product quality meets specifications.
• 3. Support line productivity by minimizing defects, rework, and scrap caused by workmanship.
• 4. Conduct basic self-inspection and highlight any abnormality or quality issue to Leader/Supervisor.
• 5. Ensure proper use and care of tools, jigs, and fixtures during assembly activities.
• 6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S practices.
• 7. Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines while performing tasks.
• 8. Support inventory cycle count when required.
• 9. Participate in daily briefings/meetings as required.
• 10. Report any equipment, process, or safety issues immediately to Leader/Supervisor.
• 11. Maintain confidentiality of company information, including Intellectual Property (IP) and Confidential Information (CI).
• 12. Perform any other duties assigned by Leader/Supervisor from time to time.
