Job summary

ROOTS PR is seeking a Consultant to support clients across PR, media, social media and KOL engagement. You will work with the team to develop ideas, build relationships and deliver campaigns that get people talking.

You’ll collaborate on client strategy, research trends, pitch opportunities, and execute PR campaigns and social initiatives. If you’re curious, proactive and up to date with media and culture, we’d love to meet you!

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in PR, communications, social media, influencer marketing or related field.
• Strong writing and client management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

As our Consultant, you’ll bring your strengths in communications to support our clients and their campaigns. Depending on your experience, your focus may be in PR & media, social media, or KOL engagement, with opportunities to work across other areas as you grow.

You’ll work closely with the team and our clients to develop ideas, build relationships and deliver campaigns that get people talking.

What you’ll do:

Client & Communications Strategy:

• Work with clients to understand their objectives and develop relevant communications strategies and campaign ideas.
• Participate in client servicing, brainstorms, presentations and new business pitches.
• Conduct research and identify relevant trends, insights and opportunities.

Media & PR

• Develop and execute PR and media relations activities, including press releases, media pitches and media opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers and relevant stakeholders.
• Support PR campaigns, events and initiatives from planning through execution.

KOL

• Identify and engage relevant influencers/KOLs based on campaign objectives and brand fit.
• Manage influencer/KOL campaigns, including outreach, coordination, content deliverables and execution.
• Track campaign performance and support reporting and recommendations.

Social Media & Community

• Develop, manage and publish engaging social media content across relevant platforms.
• Monitor online conversations, manage communities and drive meaningful audience engagement.
• Track social performance and identify opportunities to optimize content and engagement.

What we’re looking for:

• 2–4 years of experience in PR, communications, social media, influencer marketing or a related field.
• Strong communication, writing and client management skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker who is also hands-on and willing to get involved in execution.
• Curious, proactive and up to date with media, social and communications trends.
