Job summary

VAD CAPITAL SDN BHD is seeking a skilled service engineer to install, test, and commission UPS systems, PDUs, Busway, and related electrical equipment at client sites in Malaysia. The role includes preventive maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and support for urgent service calls.

You will work with project teams to ensure electrical work meets design and compliance standards, maintain thorough service records, and provide training to customers after installation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in installation, servicing and maintenance of UPS systems, PDUs or electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with major UPS brands will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of electrical safety requirements and compliance standards, including IEC and local electrical codes.
• Willingness to travel and carry out fieldwork at customer sites.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission UPS systems, PDUs, Busway, and associated electrical systems at customer sites.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system faults to ensure uptime and performance.
• Support service calls and emergency interventions for power system failures or alarms.
• Assist project teams during implementation, ensuring all electrical work aligns with design and compliance standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports, and customer feedback.
• Provide training and handover support to customers post-installation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
