Job summary

What’s Upstate is seeking a manufacturing process engineer to partner with cross-functional teams in Ipoh to drive improvements in yield, quality and reliability across power products. You will set up lines, implement changes, and ensure manufacturability best practices during ramp of new products from R&D.

You will document processes, manage design changes and direct complex projects, while collaborating with contract manufacturing and suppliers to monitor performance and prevent excursions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing field with relevant engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional team to identify and drive improvements in manufacturability, yield, performance, quality and reliability for power products.
• Lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines and processes and implement process changes and equipment modifications.
• Participate in reviews to ensure design for manufacturability best practices are followed and ramp new products released from R&D.
• Create and update detailed documentation for processes and procedures.
• Direct and manage design implementation of required process changes and modifications.
• Plan, conduct and direct complex projects or major phases of significant projects.
• Work with contract manufacturing engineering and suppliers.
• Monitor process performance to detect anomalies and drive improvements.
