Job summary

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS seeks a PhD Graduate Assistant in Power Electronics and E-Mobility to support research on design, simulation, and optimization of power converters for electric vehicles. You will conduct literature reviews, develop models, run experiments, and document results.

The role involves supervising students, maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating with staff and industry partners.

Qualifications

Strong foundational knowledge in power electronics, control algorithms, and e-mobility systems.
Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, PLECS.
Experience with experimental work: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, hardware prototyping.
Research skills: literature review, data analysis, technical writing, publications.
Embedded systems or control implementation (e.g., MCUs, DSPs, FPGA-based control).
Good communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently under guidance.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's CGPA 3.25/4.00.
