Job summary

UST is seeking a hardware-focused test engineer to join our Seberang Perai team in Penang, Malaysia. You will collect post-silicon data, run test executions, analyze results and validate system functionality.

You will troubleshoot issues, document findings, support test setups, and report outcomes. A hands-on post-silicon background with Python scripting, plus familiarity with lab equipment, is required to collaborate effectively with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of engineering experience.
• Basic understanding of hardware, system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn, work in a team, and handle ad-hoc technical tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to document test results and findings.

Responsibilities

• Post-silicon data collection and validation activities.
• Test execution and result analysis to validate system and product functionality.
• Troubleshooting and debugging of issues identified during testing and validation.
• Support test setup, documentation, and reporting of test results and findings.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and technical activities to support project and team objectives.
• Hands-on post-silicon background with Python scripts and equipment handling.
• Familiar with Python scripting, equipment/instrument handling and automation, lab debugging and data collection workflows.
