PnP (Power & Performance) engineer. In this role, you will touch cutting edge silicon, FW and hardware technologies, you will be part of a highly technical team that executes silicon bring‑up, enables PnP features, develops & executes test plans, debugs electrical/function issues on new processors. The job entails hands‑on lab work as well as technical leadership and communication across teams.
The Person
Knowledgeable of PNP feature implementation and a strong desire to enable, validate and implement PNP features. Strong communication skills and capable of working both independently and in a team.
Key Responsibilities
- As technical lead of PNP, leading new feature test method development, feature enablement, feature validation & issue debugging.
- Closely interact with feature architect, silicon design and FW team in test planning, execution & debug, as well as in feature definition for future product generation.
- Develop comprehensive functionality & stability test plans for PNP validation of processors.
- Execute functionality & stability test plans for processors using hardware and software tools.
- Collaborate with silicon design, FW, driver and other teams to debug PNP issues, drive issues to be fixed.
- Optimizes PNP implementation, the testing process, and issue debugging process.
- Provides detailed input into platform definition and reviews platform design, which will be used in the silicon validation of new processors.
- Provides technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in the planning, testing & debugging of the PNP portion.
Preferred Experience
- 6+ years’ experience in GPU/CPU/SOC or related industry.
- You should have knowledge and proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
- Knowledge on ACPI, Power & Performance Test
- Knowledge of GPU architecture
- Platform level electrical & functional test or design.
- Be eager to learn new knowledge, strong individual analysis, problem solving skills and teamwork attitude.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Experience with firmware, or system software development would be a plus.
- Experience with silicon design or design verification would be a plus.
- Experience of working with multi-site teams is preferred.
Academic Credentials
- B.S. or M.S., major in EE, CS or related area
