A leading technology company is seeking a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Senior Staff Engineer in Penang. This role requires technical leadership in power validation for AMD's custom silicon products. The ideal candidate will analyze data, mentor junior engineers, and ensure power targets are met. AMD’s Computing & Graphic group is responsible for advanced CPU, GPU and gaming platforms such as XBOX, PlayStation, and Steam Deck. As a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Senior Staff Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring our custom silicon products meet power targets and are optimized for customer use cases. You will interact with architecture, software, manufacturing, and other teams to develop a deep understanding of the product power requirements and guide a team of engineers to develop and execute studies and testcases to validate that the product meets specifications. This role requires extensive data analysis and communication of results.
This position is based in Penang collaborating closely with Austin and Shanghai teams.
We are looking for a technical leader with experience in x86, ARM, or GPU hardware development with a passion for power or performance validation and optimization spanning low-power mobile to console-level devices. This person should thrive in a matrixed environment spanning multiple countries and time zones.
